RETOOL YOUR SCHOOL 2023

This year we are partnering with the university to assist our Student Hawks with their mission to win the Campus Improvement Grant to go towards Residence Hall improvements. The student body met and developed strategies to secure votes.

Online voting will begin Monday, February 27, 2023, at 12:00 a.m. (midnight) EST and end Sunday, March 26, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. EST (“Voting Period”). During the Voting Period, UMES students, alumni, faculty, family and friends can vote via the website (“Site”) or via social media (“Social Media Votes”). Votes are cumulative (i.e., they reflect all votes from the beginning of the Voting Period). Site voting will be unlimited during the Voting Period through the Site. Please note, all votes are subject to Sponsor verification. UMES is in Cluster 

2. Social Media Votes are defined as those votes that use the school’s unique designated hashtag, RYSUMES, on Twitter, and/or Instagram (not Facebook). Social media votes inclusive of photos must not be lewd or offensive in nature. Your Twitter and Instragram account must be public in order for the vote to be counted. Twitter original tweets and retweets count as votes. Twitter votes are capped at 2,400 per day per user. Instagram votes are counted if it is in the form of an original in-feed post and an original story. Only the first mention of a hashtag in an approved post or story will count as 1 vote. Multiple mentions of a hashtag in a single post or story will only count as 1 vote.
